How to make your goal feel normal?

You see, if you’re trying to do something different in life, there will always be someone telling you , it is not a good idea. 

Often they’re coming from a very good place by trying to save you from any negative emotions in future. Or they are simply trying to protect you from the unknown future.

While that is there, I think surrounding yourself around the people who’re doing similar things makes such a difference. 

This is my personal experience too. When I was trying to get into this creative side of the blogging world , I held back because there was no one I could relate to talking on the subject. By the way , you don’t have to always  have relatable people around you. My point is sharing the same value in life as something more of a deeper connection.  I mean how often do you realise, you hold back to talk about your goals to certain people just because you cannot relate with the things.

A lot of emotions arise while you are trying to do something different.  From questioning the present state to questioning the ability. 

My only recommendation

My only recommendation in this post is to surround yourself with like-minded people. It’s better to attend live events or seminars if possible. However, one of the other best ways is by listening to the people related to your subject through various mediums like  podcasts or by  watching their interviews,etc. Come on! Don’t under-estimate the privilege to have to listen or watch to some of the pioneers in your field right in front of you. 

When you listen to people talking about your kind of stuff, it usually feels  more attainable and n-o-r-m-a-l. That’s what I used to do and I still do. I think podcasts are one of the  good sources where you can  connect with people around the world doing the things that resonate with you.  

Accepting the difference :When the ‘new normal’ doesn’t fit within the ‘old normal’, things started to feel a little absurd. But that’s totally okay.If something works for others that doesn’t mean it will work for you and vice versa.  I believe it becomes normal when you start to accept that your version of daily routines, time schedule, work ethics and work pattern doesn’t need to be matched with others, especially if it doesn’t work.

Sometimes it is not only about the subject matter. It could be your value , your vision and your belief.
