How to form a new habit and stick with it?

1.Understand the habit pattern & follow

Understand that there is a starting point and take it as a cue to start this particular new habit. Then you need to take the action at that particular time. After that repeat it every day. For example, if you want to form a new habit of writing a page every day. First, you need to plan when to start this new habit. You can write whenever you start a new task- like after you eat breakfast in the morning. Taking breakfast as a cue, you can allow yourself to start your new habit. By understanding this pattern it can be easy for you to repeat the pattern to achieve the desired habit.

2.Replace the habit with something other

Another way to incorporate new habit is by deleting the old unwanted habit and replacing with the new one. If you want to quit watching TV, whenever you feel like watching it, stop yourself from going towards the TV and grab your favorite book. Here, too you can take TV as a cue to read the book. Commit yourself to read at least 15-20 minutes. Repeat it on a loop.

2. Be consistent but also, it’s okay if you are not

Now to put the habits on the track as habits must be practiced continuously. It’s okay if you missed some days. Keep rising.

3. Be calm & stress less

Also, when it comes to change, there is more likely that our mind and body return into the old stage. So, just stress less and be calm. Follow the intuition but do not fall back.
